Set up of the Royal Cube which had been already installed at the Julius Baer Zuerich E Prix in 2018. The modular cube structure had been adjusted for shipping by sea containers. 40 containers were shipped to and cleared in Saudi Arabia. An installation team of carpenters, scaffold specialists and elevator technicians were sent to Riyadh and re-installed the pavilion for the His Highness the royal Crone Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
The opening race of the all-electric Formula E motor racing series season 2018-19 was held for the first time in Saudi Arabia.
The December race in Riyadh’s Ad-Diriyah district, on the outskirts of the capital, was the debut of the Formula E race in the Middle East. The Royal Cube is a high end hospitality structure for the Crone prince Mohammed bin Salman. The structure is 18m high and includes 3 levels and roof patio on top of the structure. At the side are 2 staircases and 2 elevators attached. The modular cube structure was reinstalled in the following seasons within 2 weeks with a daily temperature of 40 Celsius degree.
